I was reading a story in the New Yorker online (I'm not sure how I got there!) talking about how Hemingway wrote this 6 word short story, and it was award winning. The article went on asking everyone to summarize you life in 6 words. There were some interesting ones regarding what famous people might say. I came up with a couple, I believe the best being...
I would have never looked there.
While the idea was not to have to explain your answer, I'll give a brief recap. In my personal option, I seems most of the import things in my life have been found in some of the last places one would look. My short college life in Bowling Green, Ohio. My professional career as a 3rd shift computer operator at DB&T. My father in Cleveland, my wife on the Internet. My job in Anamosa. If you had asked me the day I turn 18 about any of this, I couldn't ave made up a story with as many twists and turns. I'm sure that could be said for a large number of people, but aside from being the title of someone Else's single blog post(I just googled to check) for what I can tell no one else has claim it for the title of their autobiography.
Consider it mine.

But I've got a long way, to run...
The title is a sing lyric from the band Collective Soul, the song is called "Run". I've been training to run the Washington D.C. marathon for about a month now, and while I'm not a big fan of any sort of running, it's a goal I've set for various reasons, and something I will complete. In addition to not really likeing running, the other major draw back is the time it takes to run. When I first started, getting 2 miles, at any pace, was a challenge. Now, a few weeks in, 2 miles is nothing at a jog, a little more difficult at a good pace. I've pushed my long runs up to 4 miles, and I'm comfortable hat I will be able to handle a 5 mile run this weekend. The problem now is at a 4 mile and hour pace, 2 miles takes 30 minutes. For a computer guy who's always crunching numbers in his head, that's mainly 30 minutes of thinking time. "Well, if I was running at 5 mph, this would only take 24 minutes. So I try it at 5 mph. The problem is, I can't run 2 miles at 5 mph. Yet. So I run .75 miles at 5 mph, and then slow down to 3.5 mph for the last .25 . Now I've got a whole new set of number to crunch. So to make life easier, I run at 4.5 for the 2 miles. Don't have to run as long, easier math, live is good. But then I think "4.5 mph for 26 miles, that like 6 hours of running, I can't run for 6 straight hours at any pace, I need to run faster to cut to the time I'm running.
And the number crunching begins again....
And the number crunching begins again....
